Hexagon Quilt
Summer 2008 - July 2009
A collection of lovely hand constructed and hand sewn pieces have been donated to our group by Mr Meakin. These were all made by his dear late wife Mrs June Meakin and he was anxious that the work was completed and used to raise money for the Claire House hospice.
A team of members was gathered and various members completed different tasks: planning the layout, applique of the rosettes onto the backing fabric, designing the quilting pattern, quilting and finally binding the quilt when all this work had been done.
